Last week it seemed like summer had hit a brick wall. Temperatures fell drastically and we even had a morning of frost. My first thought, no more bugs for macro photography. Well insects are hardy little buggers and it’s not a little cold that will stop  them dead in their tracks.

I was quite surprised to find this insect, a Rough Stink Bug (Brochymena sp) on the flowers of a Sumac tree. The good news is that the colder temperatures make these little critters move a little slower.
