Common Tern In-Flight / Sterne pierregarin en vol

Common Tern In-Flight / Sterne pierregarin en vol – by Steve Troletti

For some wildlife photographers nothing is more challenging than capturing a bird in-flight. That takes some practice! Most of us start of with Gulls but Terns are smaller and much faster. June brings in thousands of Terns into the North East (USA / South East (Canada) and you have a limited amount of time to find a good spot were these birds are active near the shoreline in good light. The maneuvers, poses and incredible action presented by Terns can keep you occupied for hours as you seek the perfect picture.
