Since June 3rd, at 3 pm, campers at the Îles-de-Boucherville National Park were privileged to be the first guests to be greeted at the new service center where construction began just last September. The grand opening of the new Service Center was accompanied by the new Rental facility that quietly made its opening a week earlier.
A ZEN atmosphere welcomes us on a large surface with a natural wood finish that envelopes us with its curved lines. A thoroughly well thought out architectural design that deserves its place at the heart of the Îles-de-Boucherville National Park.
Below, I present you with a small series of 360-degree panoramic images to better immerse you in a virtual visit of the new facilities. Naturally, nothing can replace the visual impact of visiting the new sites for yourself.
In addition to the reception area, there is a place to sit and eat in serenity surrounded by the panoramic windows giving us an enchanting view along the Grande-Rivière Chanel.
The trees also offer shade on a large part of the new outdoor terrace. Picnic tables are also accessible in the vicinity of the new Service Center.
The new Nature Boutique is waiting for you with new delicacies from Le Goutillon of Boucherville.
Sandwiches, wraps, yogurts, croissants and more. There is also an additional selection of soft served ice cream and two varieties of slush. Another novelty, fresh nachos. A new selection of beverages such as iced tea, real juices and soon, beer, will be at the rendezvous for your refreshment pleasure. Naturally, there is always a full range of outdoor clothing and accessories available as gifts. Congratulations to Robert and his team for a smooth transition that remains always the most welcoming.
The new Rental Center is found just a few steps away from the new Service Center. More space and two service counters are waiting for you for a pleasant experience and a level of service that rivals the major holiday resorts. Do not forget the family experience, where equipment rentals for children aged 17 and under is free when accompanied by a parent. This includes bicycles, bike trailers and even Osprey backpacks to carry the little ones on a hike. Access to the campsite is also improved with a one-stop location where you can check-in, take the electric shuttle or borrow a bike trailer all in the same area.
A wide variety of boats are waiting for you. There are single, double and fishing kayaks, canoes and paddle boards. All accessories are available on site for your safety, including life jackets in all sizes for the whole family.
The brand new boat ramp facilitates access to water.
The Friends of the Îles-de-Boucherville National Park invite you to visit the park and its new facilities to enjoy a new and enriching outdoor family experience.
